Jaguars vs Colts: Halftime Speech
JT: What We Would Tell the Team
I mean, wow. The Jaguars are playing this game against the Colts the exact same way they SHOULD have played last weeks against the Commanders. Short, crisp passes over the middle. Lawrence is checking down quickly and getting rid of the ball fast. To say that the Jaguars learned from last weeks mistakes is an understatement. The question is will they fix last weeks biggest mistake, finishing. Rest assured the Colts are getting a talking to right now so Pederson better be telling his guys to play whistle to whistle. One half does not a game make. If Coach let us in the locker room right now we would change nothing. We would tell the defense that the game is solely in their hands. They need to make a statement to the rest of their schedule that they are for real and they are relentless. A shut out is in order. A statement needs to be made. Continue to hold Jonathan Taylor to under 100 yards rushing. Remember he got 70 rushing yards last week in the fourth quarter alone. Offense, keep eating time. I think we even saw some screens mixed into that offense. Screens that JaguarsTalk said needed to be thrown last week. So far we are impressed. We’d say surprised but we knew the Jaguars could do this. Duuuval.
