Gotsis Back
JT: The Plan Unfolds
This one’s going to be short and sweet. All the whining and complaining. All the fretting and worry. All the writing into your favorite sports columnist (we’ll pretend it’s JaguarsTalk) and look what happened. No more Kimberly Drummond (we’re going to ride this bronc until it bucks us off) D-line. We can assume one of two things. The first being that the Chicken Little sky is falling dance everyone was doing after Pederson cut defensive lineman Adam Gotsis worked. The second, and probably more correct assumption, is that Baalke and Pederson already planned (there’s that word “plan” that we used in the previous column) to beef up the defensive line before facing Washington. They were, I’m sure, impressed however with the knowledge of the Jaguars fan base to know that the team should not head to FedEx Field with only five defensive linemen. Thus, two days after the Jacksonville Jaguars sent Adam Gotsis to work on his golf game, they re-signed him to the active roster, crushing his hopes of making the LIV tour.
In other news, Jacksonville signed linebacker Ty Summers, defensive lineman Mario Edwards, and wide receiver Jaylon Moore to the practice squad.
If you were one of the ones running around like a chicken with its head cut off thinking that Pederson and Baalke were gonna snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, you can now relax and enjoy the season. Woosah my friends, Woosah.
It’s a quick but good one. Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
