Heading to New York, your song still unsung.

We treasured your yards gained, your attitude and toughness.

With the Jets, except week 16, we wish you success.

You are professional, hard-working, quiet and kind.

The type of player, you’d think, Baalke wouldn’t mind.

But alas came Meyer, Etienne, and your achilles.

Thinking I could rhyme a word with achilles was silly.

The three things mentioned above began your demise.

And for a sixth rounder, New York gets a prize.

We’ve heard from the fans, the internet, and 1010XL

Many disagreed with the trade, it’s not tough to tell.

What if an injury occurs to Travis Etienne?

Is JaMycal the answer, is that who goes in?

And what of Snoop Conner, this year's draft choice?

He’s been scratched from all games up to this point.

Do either of them have what it takes to fill your shoes?

We all know that answer is why JAX sings the blues.

For us here at JaguarsTalk we believe this was a good trade.

Staying here in Jacksonville, your bed was already made.

You’d have played second fiddle and ridden the pine.

Second string doesn’t suit you, it’s just not your time.

Etienne fits Doug’s scheme, he’s fast and he’s quick.

You’re reliable, hardworking and exhibit no quit.

This trade was good for both sides, we just can’t pretend.

As a Jet you’re a starter near your contract year end.

The Jags know you’re a gamer, it’s business not personal.

You playing and not waiting suits your personality well

So break records and score points, just not against JAX.

I’m sure that game’s already circled, as there are no take backs.

Some say this’ll start a firesale, with this I disagree.

You’re one of a kind J-Rob and will be missed by this city.

I’m not sure this was in the plans until Breece Hall grabbed his knee.

Now it’s your turn to step up, step in, and succeed.

You will be missed by everyone, fans, players and all.

Even the decision makers who had to make this call.

Undrafted and undeterred you put your head down to grind

Your supreme work ethic gives hope to others, you’ll find.

So while you start in New York, Jacksonville wants you to thrive.
